October 2020, 15 ladies made their way to Miraval Resort and Spa in Tucson, Arizona. Easy nonstop flights from SFO to Tucson and complimentary shared shuttle pick up, made this an easy three to four day getaway. Set in the foothills of the striking Catalina Mountains, Miraval is an inclusive destination resort and spa. They are known for their wellbeing spa services and wellbeing activities. There are a wide variety of casita-style rooms, suites and residential-style Villas and retreats. Most of us stayed in the casitas and liked the central location and ease of getting to the classed, spa and restaurant.
With 15 in our group, we sampled almost everything the resort had to offer, from the various spa services, to the diverse class offerings, to the food and beverage options. Feedback ranged from “best massage I have ever had” to “this is the perfect getaway” to “I can’t wait to come back and bring my family”! I procured discounted group rates and added an extra $100 per person resort credit through my affiliation with Virtuoso. Resort credit is used for spa services and unique experiences. The majority of the classes and all the food is included in the nightly rate. The resort does serve alcohol at an additional cost.
Miraval allows guests to arrive at the resort as early as 8:30am with full access to classes and food service. Rooms were ready for check in at 3pm. While check out is at 11am, guests are welcome to stay at the resort until 4pm. The rooms and resort facilities were very clean. Masks were worn around the resort, during treatments and classes. Hand sanitizer was wildly available. Miraval takes their safety measures seriously and the entire group felt safe during their stay.
Miraval was perfect for a group getaway, plenty to do, great food, luxurious accommodations and the right mix of social and quiet time. To a person, everyone wants to return to Miraval! Take your family, go with girlfriends or go on your own, this is a fantastic place! I can understand why it is Oprah’s favorite spa!
